Lately I’ve been trying to understand how teams actually evaluate all-rounders in modern cricket, but I keep getting confused. On paper some players look almost identical in stats, yet commentators often talk about one being far more valuable. I feel like just looking at batting and bowling averages doesn’t give the full picture. Maybe I’m missing something about how their overall impact is judged during different match situations.
