In Old School RuneScape (OSRS), training combat skills is an essential part of progressing through the game. Among the most popular training locations for combat experience are the Sand Crabs, which are known for their low combat stats, high hitpoints, and passive nature, making them ideal targets for players seeking a more relaxed training environment. Whether you're leveling Attack, Strength, Defence, or simply aiming to build your combat stats, Sand Crabs offer an excellent option for OSRS gold grinding combat experience.
In this guide, we'll walk you through everything you need to know about getting to Sand Crabs, how to train on them efficiently, and tips to make the most out of your time there.
Where Are Sand Crabs Located in OSRS?
Sand Crabs are located on Hosidius beach in the Kourend region, which is part of the Kourend & Kebos update. Specifically, they can be found on the southernmost beach in the Hosidius area of Zeah. This makes them easily accessible to players who have unlocked the Kourend region, but even if you're just starting out, you can easily get there by following a few simple steps.
Getting to Kourend (Hosidius)
Before you can train on Sand Crabs, you'll need to access the Kourend region, which can be unlocked in several ways:
Unlocking Kourend:
If you are a new player or haven't unlocked the Kourend region yet, you need to get access to Zeah first. To do this, you need to have completed the "The Queen of Thieves" quest. This quest will allow you to enter the Hosidius House, which is where Sand Crabs are located.
Using the Lodestone Network:
Kourend has its own Lodestone activated when you complete a specific quest (e.g., The Queen of Thieves), which makes traveling to this location convenient if you've unlocked it. Once the Lodestone is active, it will take you to Hosidius, and from there, it's only a short walk to the beach.
By Boat (If Kourend Lodestone is Unavailable):
If you haven't unlocked the Lodestone, you can take a boat from the Arceuus House or use Fairy Rings (if you've unlocked them). Alternatively, you can also use the Karambwan routes to buy RuneScape gold reach the area.
